This time of year I want to put flowers everywhere. Not only in bouquets in every window of my house, but also in the food I make. Lately I’ve created recipes with lilacs and bird cherry. Now it’s time for lavender to flavor these summery strawberry popsicles.
STRAWBERRY AND LAVENDER POPSICLES RECIPE
Yields 6 popsicles
300 g (10,5 oz) fresh or thawed strawberries
0,5 tsp dried lavender
0,5 dl (0,2 cup) sugar
- Cut strawberries to pieces.
- Put all ingredients in a pan and bring to a boil. Let simmer for a couple of minutes while stirring until sugar is dissolved.
- Let the mixture cool a bit. Mix it thoroughly until no chunks of lavender are left.
- Pour mixture into popsicle molds and put in freezer for at least six hours.
