Today I have a super fast and easy Easter craft for you! This unique and modern DIY egg cup is created with copper wire and it only takes about three minutes to make.
(Step by step tutorial further down in this post).
I’m kind of obsessed with all things spring right now. Probably I share that feeling with almost every Swede (and a whole lot of others too), because we’re so tired of the long and dark winter. I can’t help myself but creating spring related things and this wire egg cup is no exception. It’s supposed to look like a little bird’s nest in metal, but in a more modern and stylish version.
Why don’t you try it yourself! You probably have some wire in your tool kit and three minutes is all it takes…
DIY COPPER WIRE EGG CUP TUTORIAL
Supplies:
Thick copper wire (mine is 1,15 mm), nippers, egg.
How to:
- Gather your material.
- Make a loop with the copper wire. The loop should be a bit wider than the circumference of an egg.
- Continue making loops and make sure you do plenty of hooks and bends. Pull the wire through previous rounds to make them stick together.
- When the eggcup has the desired size, cut the wire with nippers. Shape the egg cup to fit an egg.
If you make this copper wire egg cup I’d love to see the result! Tag @hungryheart.se or link to this blog post, so I can find you. =)
